The Next Generation of Transformed Leaders Initiative (NGTL) is a nonprofit organisation dedicated to raising resilient, visionary, and credible leaders. We exist to empower individuals to dream bigger, achieve more, and leave a lasting mark on their world..

To empower individuals through education, collaboration, and transformation to groom leaders for global impact.

To build a global community of credible leaders equipped with the skills and values to positively transform their societies.

To empower 10,000 leaders by 2035, equipping them to drive measurable community, business, and institutional impact across different spheres of society.

Our Founder

Oghale Akpobome, MBA, PMP, RMP, FNCS Oghale Akpobome is an accomplished global leader, TEDx speaker, storyteller, and coach. She made history as the first female Country IT Operations Manager in over 80 years of Shell’s presence in Nigeria. With 24 years of global project leadership experience across 20 countries—including Africa, the Middle East, Europe, Asia, and Canada—Oghale has successfully delivered multi-million-dollar energy and infrastructure projects in some of the world’s most challenging environments. Beyond her professional achievements, she is a mentor, trainer, and advocate for youth empowerment, diversity, and leadership. As the founder of Next Generation of Transformed Leaders Initiative (NGTL) and Young & Safe Online, she is deeply committed to raising leaders who will shape the future with courage, resilience, and compassion. Oghale has also been recognized globally, including being a nominee for ALX’s Top 100 Women in Tech. She continues to inspire as a facilitator, change agent, and volunteer across Nigeria, the UK, and Dubai.

Founder, Next Generation of Transformed Leaders Initiative (NGTL)

Leading technology. Inspiring possibility. Transforming futures.

Oghale Akpobome is a global technology leader, TEDx speaker and mentor with more than 25 years of experience across Africa, the Middle East, Europe, Asia and North America. She made history as Shell Nigeria’s first female Country IT Operations Manager, breaking a longstanding leadership barrier while building a career leading people, technology and transformation across complex international environments.

But a consistent thread runs through her career: helping other people see and reach what is possible for them. From mentoring professionals and emerging technology talent to coaching students and supporting women pursuing leadership roles, Oghale has spent years creating pathways for others to grow.

That commitment inspired NGTL, where she is building a platform that connects young people with mentorship, leadership development and opportunities to turn learning into livelihoods and potential into impact. Her ambition is to help raise 10,000 transformed leaders by 2035, young people equipped not only to succeed, but to create opportunities and transform their communities.

Oghale is also the founder of Young & Safe Online, an initiative promoting digital safety, cybersecurity awareness and responsible technology use among young people, parents and educators.
